It's Been Awhile

Hello? Are you all still there? I'm so sorry for the large time gap from my last post! A lot has been going on in 2014. I recently moved from Shabbona to Rochelle, and unfortunately that means I no longer have an indoor studio to offer my clients. Depending on how the future goes, I may be able to purchase a space for indoor photos down the road- I will keep everyone informed should that happen. In the meantime, I'm enjoying scoping out new outdoor locations for shoots and getting to know my new community. I would LOVE anyone in the Rochelle area that has used my services in the past to spread the word about my relocating. There isn't much else to report right now, but I hope the weather starts looking up so we can get some awesome photos for you! Below are some photos I snapped mid-May. I think I'll call them "Illinois- Land of Unpredictable Weather". Have a good weekend all! :)

My post title sounds like a Charlie Brown movie...haha! So, here we are starting year 3 of being in business- yay! Words cannot explain how much I appreciate each and every one of my family members, friends, clients, fans, and followers. Thank YOU so much! Below I have photos of my new packaging, what do you think? This specific setup is for a CD only, but every box will contain: a thank you note, a business card for future reference, pretty teal tissue paper, a special gift (not pictured), and twisted twine to tie it all together. One thing I especially love is my new CD sleeves from Mega Smiles. They have my logo on the front, print release on the back, and are individually stitched- how cute?!

So, you must be wondering, "what else has changed?" I have made some adjustments to my pricing, which you can see here. I have also decided to no longer do newborn photos. I'd like to focus more on areas of photography that I excel in. I have also invested in more classes and equipment to further my ability as a photographer. So, there you have it. Welcome year 3, I look forward to getting to know you!

Under Construction

That's right! We're under construction (kind of). My husband and I are in the process of redesigning an area of our home for indoor sessions. It's still a work in progress, but we're hoping to have it usable before the end of the year. My hope is to continue to provide you with special photos any time of year! Next week the hardwood floor should be finished and looking great! Then a fresh coat of paint, new trim and some other "homey" touches. I hope you all are as excited as I am to start this new journey in my business. I will be sure to keep up to date with the progress. ♥

April Update

Sorry I haven't updated much lately. We have officially moved into our new home and are loving it! Now that we are settled, it's business as usual for scheduling sessions. May is starting to fill up, so make sure to get your request in soon if you'd like photos for Mother's Day. Also, don't forget about my grow with me option- the deadline to reserve is May 25th. It seems that everyone is pregnant these days and this is a great opportunity to save money on photos during your child's first year of life. We have TONS of asparagus growing in our yard. No one in our house likes it, but it sure is pretty!
